Who we are

Qognis BV operates this website, studio.qognis.ai. Qognis BV is registered in Belgium under enterprise number BE 1036.732.337 and is based in Gent (Ghent). Qognis BV is the controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at studio@qognis.ai.

What we collect

We collect personal data in two places.

• The contact form. If you write to us, we receive your name, email, company, project type, timeline, and project details. Website, referral source, and location are optional fields.
• Server logs. Our infrastructure records basic technical logs, such as IP addresses and request data, to keep the site secure and working.

Why we use it

We use contact-form data to answer your inquiry and, if we start working together, to run the engagement. We use server logs to operate and protect the site. We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.

Who processes it

A small set of service providers processes data for us. Each one acts on our instructions.

• Resend delivers our transactional email.
• Cloudflare Turnstile protects the contact form from spam. It is strictly necessary for the form to work safely, so no consent banner is required.
• Plausible Analytics gives us aggregate visitor statistics. It sets no cookies. Your IP address and browser string are sent to Plausible, which uses them only to generate a daily rotating hash and does not store them.
• Neon hosts our database in the EU region aws-eu-central-1.
• Cloudflare provides hosting and content delivery.

How long we keep it

We keep contact submissions only as long as we need them to handle your inquiry. If an inquiry becomes an engagement, we keep the engagement records for as long as our legal obligations require. Then we delete them.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
• Have your data erased.
• Restrict how we process your data.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Object to our processing of your data.

To use any of these rights, email studio@qognis.ai. We will respond. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Belgian data protection authority, the Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we publish the new version here and update the date at the top of this page.
